Ausflug nach Santiago de Compostella

AdminDer tagelange SW Sturm hat sich endlich ausgeweht und die Segler entfernen ihre extra ausgebrachten Leinen. Leider stand auch Schwell in den Hafen, so dass die Festmacherleinen stark beansprucht wurden. Wir hatten zum Glück über die meisten Leinen Schläuche gezogen, um sie zu schützen. Vorgestern fuhren wir morgens mit dem Zug nach Santiago de Compostella. Die Stadt und speziell deren Kathedrale ist das Ziel der Pilger, welche den Jacobsweg entlang pilgern. Die Ausmaße und die Gestaltung des Inneren sind atemberaubend. Vor dem Altar in ca. 7 Meter Höhe hängt das große Weihrauchfass. Dieses kann nur von 4 Männern zum Schwingen gebracht werden, es saust dann mit 70km/Std durch das Kirchenschiff. Leider wird es nur an hohen Feiertagen in Betrieb genommen. Die ganze Stadt ist voller Pilger und wunde Füße sieht man Allerorten. Es herrscht ein buntes Treiben, viele Touristen, Mönche und Nonnen, die ganze Stadt pures Mittelalter. Abends im Zug waren wir uns einig: ein sehr schöner Ausflug.
